NATHAN W. FITCH
Seasoned and enthusiastic UX and Product Design and Experience leader with over 15 years of experience in creating best-in-class direct-to-consumer and B2B experiences. With a strong background in the product design lifecycle, I have extensive experience with team leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration across an organization (from peers to the C-Suite).
From 2007 until 2017, I helped grow the consumer website Care.com from startup to IPO as a pivotal design team member. I helped the company transition from desktop only to a truly responsive web experience. In my final three years with the organization, I headed the company’s international product design initiatives from Berlin, Germany, and managed a team of three talented product designers.
In 2017 I joined Cartera, the B2B2C loyalty rewards division of Rakuten Americas. In this role, I have worked cross-functionally to expand the core product offering from a single product of hosted shopping sites to a suite of products, including browser extensions, API integrations, and a self-service client platform. I partner with my colleague, the senior director of product management, to take new product ideas that grow our product offering from concept to release-ready designs and requirements.
In addition to my role as a product design leader at Cartera, I also volunteer my time with the Pride+ Employee Resource Group at Rakuten Americas. As a member of the leadership team as Pillar lead for Retention, I focus my time on educational programs that highlight the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ community at Rakuten, from improving the transgender transition process in the workplace to ensuring we’re hiring a diverse workforce and more.
